North Maharashtra University DECET Results
Distance Education Common Entrance Test (DECET) 2013 exam results will be declared on August 05, 2013 by North Maharashtra University (NMU), Jalgaon.
Candidates, who are going to appear for the exam, can check their results on the official website of North Maharashtra University (NMU).
DECET 2013: DECET will be held on August 04, 2013. DECET is an entrance exam conducted by North Maharashtra University for taking admission to distance Master of Business Administration
(MBA) program offered at Institute of Distance Education and Learning Center for the academic
year 2013.
ABOUT NORTH MAHARASTRA UNIVERSITY
It actually started its academic and administrative activities under the leadership of Prof. Dr. N. K. Thakare, the first Vice Chancellor of the university, from academic year 1991-92.
Prof. Dr. S. F. Patil took over as the second Vice Chancellor of this University on 14th Aug. 1996. During his tenure two new academic departments viz. Department of Comparative Languages & Literature and Department of Information Technology were started on the campus.
Prof. Dr. R. S. Mali took over as the third Vice Chancellor of the University on 14th August, 2001. Under his able and visionary leadership University progressed at a faster pace towards excellence. He encouraged students and teachers to undertake Water Harvesting programs on the campus, and as a outcome of this, small bands were constructed by the students.
Our faculty on the campus has till date successfully completed many Research Projects funded by various funding agencies. We have developed and transferred four technologies through University-Industry linkage and made some more ready for transfer.
In a very short period of time the university has gained name and fame on National and International levels. This university has also acquired the prestigious 2(f) & 12(b) recognition from the UGC. The university has been re-accredited with 'B' (CGPA 2.88) grade duly honoured by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Banglore.
Keeping in mind the need for self-reliance in future, university undertook the Teak plantation programmer 95,000 plant lets were planted which are growing up fast. This project was awarded with "VANASHREE" award in the year 2002. Honourable Vice-Chancellor received this award from the then Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Vilasrao Deshmukh.
Prin. Dr. K. B. Patil took over as the fourth regular Vice Chancellor of the university on 22nd Aug. 2006. During his tenure a new school i.e. School of Social Sciences along with Department of Education was opened on the university campus. Under this school new curricula like M. A.(Music), M.A.(Mass Communication & Journalism), M.A.(History), M.S.W. have been introduced. In the existing academic schools/departments new curricula like M.Sc.(Organic Chemistry), M.Sc.(Inorganic Chemistry), Integrated B.Sc.+ M.Sc.(Actuarial Science), M. Ed. have been started. Major computerization projects were completed during this tenure only, university has successful adopted MKCL's e-Suvidha, SAP ERP in the functioning of its' Finance and Administration departments.
Prof. Dr. S. U. Meshram, took over as the fifth Vice Chancellor of the North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon on 8th Sept. 2011.
