Components   : Diesel Engines

Description     : The diesel Engine play a vital role as a muscle of energy for the miming machines like dumper, shovol, motor grader, dozer etc..This engine fails to perform with lower efficiency due to various reasons periodic maintenance chart is prepared to preventive failure of the Engine. Hence a failure analysis was carried out to find out the causes. Maintenance and trouble shouting chart has been prepare recent failure

INTRODUCTION

NEYVELI LIGNITE CORPORATION LIMITED (NLC) is a government-owned [Mini Rathna] lignite mining company in India. One of the public sector undertakings, the company is wholly owned by the union government (49 percent) and administered through ministry of coal. NLC operates the largest open-pit lignite mines in India and mines some 24 minion tonnes of lignite per year for fuel, with an installed capacity of 2490 MW of electricity per year. Of this , the origin state of Tamil Nadu consumes 1167 MW, with the neighboring states (Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh) consuming most of the rest.

SPECIALIZED MINING EQUIPMENT'S

Specialised mining equipments are used for mining process. The specialised mining equipment are the machines that are heavy and have capability to remove hard surfaces and lignite. Their machines are mainly imported from Germany. These yards take care of the special machines in mines-2 such as bucket wheel excavator, spreaders, mobile transfer conveyor, reclaimer, stacker etc.

CONCLUSION
Even if we are fallowed the correct maintaining process of machines advised by the companies, we must follow the condition monitoring steps to avoid the           problems frequently happening in the engine. This is the proper way of preventing the failure of all engines.
